Non Wild Equipment

Every now and then things get given to me or I have a brain fade and say that would be nice and its cheap. Some of the other stuff I have collected over the years.

Hewllett Packard 3810A
AGA EDM

Tellurometer

This instrument is an ex State Electricity Commision of Vcitoria. It was found at the Boolarra tip by Graeme Colbert in 2004.

This long range EDM was given to me by LIStech in 2000. The little brother CD6 was the first EDM I ever used.

Carl Zeiss Ni2 Level

Water damaged back in 1973 in a tunnel at Dartmouth Dam in Victoria. I have had this piece since 1990 approx and was in a survey shipping container on a job site. In later years i got the originial manual from Ron DeMarco as he keeps everything

K&E Target Set

Given to me by Hans Wennagel on one of his buying sprees on eBay. A true friend

W Ottway & Co
Level

It seemed the right thing to buy at the time. It was cheap and close to home. Great condition and originial box. Come with an old woodern staff.

Measuring Chain
Abney Level
Cowley Level

In excellent condition this chain was purchased in 2006 from eBay and come via Tasmania. I don't think its been ever been used.

Standard Band

This is a standard calibrated band used to compare your field band for distance. Come in the old standard canvas reel that we all though we could wind quicker than anyone else. Donated by Ron Demarco again..

This Abney level (Tamaya Brand) turned up in my kit back in the early 1980's and has not been used since mid 1980's. Sits in the store room for the young guys to ask what it is.

Carl Zeiss Optical Square

Neat little double sided optical square used at Dartmouth Dam in the 1970's. Nice little leather case.

This little instrument was the first levelling device I ever used at secondary school and pointed me in the direction of surveying. Had it for years and think it was given to me by a friend of my father. I have the original tripod and staff.

Wooden Stave

Come as part of a level I bought many years ago. Will restore as time permits.

Clino
Kern DKM 2
Thommen Barometer

I used to carry this around in the car in the old days just in case I needed it. Sits in the store room these days.

II saw this on eBay years ago and it was at a good price for a quality item. The DKM 2  belonged to the Royal Australian Navy and has had little use. Nice piece of gear.

Been part of my kit for ages. Only used these days for yearly calibration of our Total Stations. Swiss made.

Hilger & Watts

HP 100 LX
Palmtop

MCII Data
Recorder

Purchased back in the mid 90's was connected to our T1000 and TC1100.We were running TPStakeout

There was nothing good about the old days. Running areas of x sections and plan areas. Haven't used since the early 1980's

Great data recorder for its day. First dat recorder I purchased and used with a T1000.
